Pork fillet is served with a richly flavoured Burgundy sauce. You could try to use another red wine if you don't have Burgundy to hand. This is very easy to prepare, and nice for a dinner party or special family meal.

  • 900g pork fillet
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic granules
  • 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 stick celery, chopped
  • 500ml red Burgundy wine
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons gravy granules

  1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
  2. Place pork fillet in a baking dish, and sprinkle meat with salt, pepper and garlic granules. Top with onion and celery, and pour wine overall.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
  4. When done baking, remove meat from baking dish, and place on a serving platter. Pour gravy granules into a baking dish with wine and cooking juices, and stir until thickened. Slice meat, and cover with the gravy.
